What the heck is going on? Will Facebook a 15-year-old social media networking giant amongst the likes of Google that I have been following since its early infancy and founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg testified before a congressional hearing concerning some 50 million user or more data breach? That is the question! Even the U.K. Parliamentary Committee wanting to carry out an investigation on how the social media data is being used. The British want answers and they want it from the man himself, Mr. Zuckerberg who declined a summons from parliament. So what is going on, over the past few weeks the NASDAQ FB stocks has plummeted and many users are fleeing Facebook, deleting their account, all because of the 2016 presidential election and the now known Cambridge Analytica scandal that deliberately and dishonest drive into Facebook users profiles for the main reasons of targeting users with advertisements while they’re browsing Facebook. The good news for social data users is that devices are now available that allows you to check if a password has been pwned (aka exposed in a leak) right in the most popular password management in the world. And why not, when you are just one little pinhead out of a billion + other people and the bad actors using the WWW! Or Internet of Things (IoT) platform device, and even that is scary for some users.
The whole sad part about this data debacle is that millions of users feel strongly that they have been stood up with lackluster statement and silence from the main man himself, while Facebook downplayed the New York Times and the Guardian a UK publication that had obtained a leaked blueprint for Trump 2016 presidential victory, sad to say but Facebook was blindsided or totally fooled by CA who stolen 50 million and more of Facebook’s users data. It now seems like the blueprint CA claim is how they won the WH for Trump by massively using Google, Snapchat, Twitter, (that the President commonly used like his golf circuits) Facebook, which are now under fire from Congress and users, not to mention that Bloomberg reported on March 21, that Facebook Stocks and investors are in pain, and may have taken a kickass beating that resulting in losses ranging from a small pocket change of $60B since the Cambridge Analyica scandal became a public turmoil. The fact is as reported by CA officials who worked most closely on the Trump 2016 campaign, with the main aims of discrediting Hillary Clinton on her bid to become America’s first female president, a fact that Trump had seize on as a welcoming news, or whatever he wanted to call it while CA and the Russians were busy interfering and using your data on a fake platform in spreading viral disinformation during the 2016 election that would benefited Donald Trump.
So what the heck is going on with Facebook, that is the question, what are my dear friend (well yeah, or sort of from birth) the fearless social media giant with a overwhelming 1B worldwide users doing to safeguard your data privacy after this? After all, some of us users are not that smart, and besides, getting on Facebook or deleting stuff can be a really rude awakenings, since you have to go through the processing which requires the input of an email and of course address, a username or mobile number as well as a password and not knowing who FB is sharing your data and contact information with. Anyway, personally I’m still with you Zuck’ just go ahead and tighten up your shit and win back some users confidence. Hey, money from advertisements and other activities ain’t everything. Remember how it all started for FB? Just some weird College/University nerd smart young guys trying to bring friends together with some yearbook snaps and some beer. Get back to basic. Tell the truth. Be real man. Teach our children the value of real honest communication, not fake shit. May God’s Grace Have Mercy’s On Us. Peace!
